July 23-24, Sat-Sun: 24 HOUR FAMILY CRUISE
Cruise Chairs, John and Kara Koedel. This is a new angle at cruising in order to entice the families out there that are under the delusion that cruising with your family is hard, stressful, and NOT relaxing. Give this one a try, meet some other families, and have some fun.
July 23, 2005: 1:00pm: Family meeting at Fannie's House, Discuss destination (1 to 2 hours away), Depart. 3:00pm to 5:00pm: Arrive at destination and raft with other boats. Bring a dinghy, if you have one so the kids can explore. 5:00pm: Cocktails
6:30pm: Share appetizers "across the cockpits".
July 24, 2005: Rise and share breakfast "across the cockpits", Depart for FBYC.
A comment on cruising lingo: Throw out what conjures up in your mind when you here land lubber terms like appetizer and breakfast. We're not talking about baked crab dip and egg casseroles here. You don't HAVE to cook. We're on a boat. Use the following as suggested guidelines. Appetizer - Nuts, chips, cheese & crackers, pepperoni, etc. Breakfast - Doughnuts, bagels, fruit, etc. Cocktails - May be as simple as a beer from a cooler in the corner of your cockpit. Dinner - Fried chicken from the grocery store, sandwiches, etc. Entertainment - Conversation (huh), cards, fishing, dinghy exploration, swimming. We hope to see you. If you have any questions, give us a call. John & Kara Koedel (804) 288-1565 (home), 804-338-1158 cell or jgkoedel@yahoo.com. Please register at www.fbyc.net.
