The Annual Cruise Regatta will begin with a skipperís meeting in Fannieís House at 9AM to finalize the course and staggered starting times for each boat. The staggered start will begin at 10:30 AM. The awards party and dinner will begin at 5:30PM in the main clubhouse. Remember that a special handicap system is used for this race. This requires skippers to register and complete their entry forms at least 5 days prior to the event so that handicapping and starting time calculations can be made and so that the social chairman will know how many to expect for drinks and dinner. If youíve never participated in a regatta, this, with its emphasis on having fun, is the one to try as your first. Usually this is the most heavily subscribed event on the cruising schedule, drawing 12-14 entries. How many offshore racing classes can say the same?!
