The Wolf Trap Race consists of a fixed course distance race for PHRF A, PHRF B/C, MORC, and PHRF NON-SPIN. This race is the fourth race of the Distance Series. Multiple, short-distance, round-the-buoys races may be held for the MORC Class, as an alternative at the discretion of the class. PHRF NON-SPIN will be sailed allowing only one (1) headsail downwind. |

STARTING |
Between Piankatank R. G ì5î (FBYC ìAî) and the Piankatank R. Lt. QR 15 4M ì6î (FBYC ìB). The starting line will be between a special buoy ìXî and the orange or yellow flag on the Committee Boat. |

COURSE |
Approximate Distance: 24.6 NM The first mark of the course will be either (1) special buoy ìYî located to windward or on the approximate magnetic course from the Committee Boat as may be displayed by numeral pennants or digits shown on the Committee Boat or (2) a government mark listed in Appendix A. The Committee Boat will display either a ìYî or other letter to designate the government mark. After rounding the special buoy ìYî or the government mark, yachts shall sail the remaining marks of the course set forth below: |

FINISH LINE |
Between Piankatank R. Lt. QR 15í 4M ì6î (FBYC ìBî) and the orange or yellow flag on the Committee Boat stationed north of FBYC ìBî. If the Committee Boat is not on station at the finish, leave FBYC ìBî to port, and take your own time when you are within 25 yards of FBYC ìBî and it bears 180? magnetic from the helmsmanís position. This information should be passed along to the Race Committee Chairman as soon as possible after returning to the dock. |

TIME LIMIT |
2000 hours for all classes; boats finishing after 2400 hours on Saturday, September 16, 2006 will be scored DNF. |

AWARDS |
Refreshments and awards for this event will be provided, ashore after the race. Awards for the Long Distance Series will be presented at the Annual Awards party. |
