September 16-30: CRUISE TO PHILADELPHIA
This years fall cruise will bring us to some of our most historical cities which also have wonderful activities and dining. Because of the distance and time allotted to our visits in Philadelphia and Baltimore, this cruise will require two weeks. The exact itinerary is being finalized, but we will visit Philadelphia and spend 3 nights at a marina which is a short walk to the historic district. This will give us 2 full days to enjoy Philadelphias history and restaurants. Also we will stop in Baltimore for 3 nights (2 full days) and enjoy some of the numerous activities in the Inner Harbor including the new Australia exhibit at the National Aquarium. We have made arrangements to view a museum quality private art collection at the Baltimore home of our friends Mort and Toby Mower. This private collection contains many Impressionist works by well known artists such as Degas, Pisarro, Sisley, Bonnard, Renoir, Picasso, and Leger, and some Pop Art by Warhol, Lichtenstein and Haring. There is a good article on the Mowers at this website http://www.citypaper.com/arts/ story.asp?id=9220 . Further details will be sent out as our itinerary is firmed up.
