July 19-20:
GROG CRUISE
The
ëGrog Island Cruiseí was a staple in yearís passed. Alas, Grog Island is gone. Still, weíll resurrect this fun event. After a short sail around Windmill
Point, we will anchor and raft in the bite at the mouth of Antipoison
Creek. Upon arrival, weíll take
the beachhead for the afternoon.
On shore activities planned for kids AND adults, maybe even a pirate
guest.
Saturday:
9am - 10am: Captains meeting at Fannieís House. 10am - Noon: Leave for Little Bay. 5pm: Ration of
Grog issued to adults. Weíll toast
the passing of Grog Island and observe the anniversary of the last daily
issuance of rum by the British Navy, July 31, 1970. Plan to share an
appetizer. Bring your own
dinner. Be prepared for an evening
bon fire under a full moon. Chaired by John & Kara Koedel III. Register for
this event at www.fbyc.net
or contact jgkoedel@yahoo.com or call 804-338-1158.
