October 18-19: WILTON CREEK CRUISE AND PARTY
Again this year, we will end our cruising season with another
ìblastî at the beautiful, protected anchorage in Wilton Creek. Last yearís fifty participants had a
great time exchanging stories from the summer, great food, and lots of
laughs. We look forward to sharing
that again on Saturday, October 18.
Dinner and an ìawardsî party will be in the ìCoves at Wilton Creekî
clubhouse. Cocktails will begin at
5:30pm with dinner to follow.
Please bring your beverage choice and a hors díoeuvre to share. Cups and ice will be provided. Cruisers who are unable to enjoy
the beauty of Wilton Creek from the water are encouraged to come by car for the
Saturday evening portion of this event.
Breakfast aboard and a short peaceful cruise home will provide a fitting
end to a wonderful season on the water.
Wilton Creek is unmarked but easy to pilot by staying in the center
until you reach the unmistakable anchorage between the Marinerís Point dock and
the Villasí docks, both on the port side, approximately º -1/3 mile inside the
creek. Dinghy service will be
provided for anyone who would like a short ride into Marinerís Point Dock for
easy access to the clubhouse.
Volunteers will be there to lead you to the fun. Dinghy ìCaptainsî will monitor channel
68 and will answer to ìFishing Bay Cruising Group.î Chaired by Carolyn and Joe
Schott with assistance from Ed and Diane OíConnor. Please register at www.fbyc.net or contact cjschott@verizon.net or call 804-776-6004.
