DESCRIPTION | The Long Distance Race is a handicap race open to any One Design boat 20 length or under at the water line. The Portsmouth Yardstick D-PN Handicap System will be used to score finishes. See www.ussailing.org/portsmouth. NO OPTIS WILL RACE IN THE LONG DISTANCE RACE DUE TO LONG DISTANCE AND RISK OF OPPRESSIVE HEAT. Advance registration is encouraged at www.fbyc.net . |

COURSES | The
course will be one of the courses described below using government
marks in the Piankatank River for marks of the course:

TIME LIMIT | If one boat finishes within 4 hours from the start, the race will be valid for all racers. |
AWARDS | The skipper of the winning boat will receive the Hicks Trophy upon which his/her name will be engraved. Other places are as described in the Sailing Instructions. |
CBYRA SANCTION | This event is not sanctioned for CBYRA High Point awards. |
