Sail to Gordon and Shelia Nelson's home on the Western Branch for a party. Location is 37 44.056 / 076 30.646 or about 5 miles up the Corrotoman from the #2 entrance day marker or 20 some miles from FBYC. Gordon’s dock is on the right or northeast side. The Nelsons have a couple of slips and could arrange for a slip or two at their neighbors. The anchorage is very good just off the dock and fairly well sheltered from all winds. Gordon has a dinghy and can ferry people back and forth with and also have a couple of kayaks for people to use. Gordon has a sizable grill and another if needed; also, a picnic table, dock, water, electricity, bathrooms, and what ever else the group needs. Please register no later than August 22 on the website or with Gordon so he’ll be able to prepare. Everyone should bring something to grill, and a side dish to share.
