June 19–July 4: TWO-WEEK CRUISE This cruise will have 3 facets: 1) a circumnavigation of the Delmarva Peninsula, 2) a cruise up the Bay, meeting the circumnavigators, 3) rendezvous group to join groups 1 and 2 at St. Mary’s. The circumnavigators will start EARLY on Saturday morning, traveling down the Bay, hopefully joining some Southern Bay cruisers to travel up the coast to the first stop at Cape May. Obviously a close eye must be kept on the weather as the purpose is to enjoy an ocean sail and not to have an endurance test. This is an easy trip for a couple (having done it twice). We will stay at the South Jersey Marina, which has deep water for those with 7’ drafts and is very convenient to town. We will spend a couple of days sightseeing, eating, and shopping. Then we will move on to Chesapeake City, Sassafras, Baltimore, Annapolis, St. Michaels, Solomon’s, and then St. Mary’s. Those not interested in the ocean experience will meet the circumnavigation group at the Sassafras. Those electing a one-week cruise are invited to rendezvous at Annapolis or St. Mary’s. The objective is to have as many participants as possible in some part of this trip as we are hoping to have a very enjoyable two weeks. The entire group will rendezvous at St. Mary’s on Friday, July 2, for their concert and fireworks show. On Saturday, we will sail down to Reedville for their 4^th of July celebration, returning to FBYC on Sunday. Some cruisers may wish to take a side venture as Monday is a holiday.
