12th ANNUAL LEUKEMIA CUP REGATTA
SOUTHERN CHESAPEAKE SAILING SERIES
July 9-11, 2010
DESCRIPTION | The SOUTHERN CHESAPEAKE LEUKEMIA CUP REGATTA is hosted by Fishing Bay YC and Stingray Harbour YC in conjunction with The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. This regatta will consist of up to two races to be sailed on two courses, on Saturday and Sunday, July 10 and 11, 2010. The races and associated activities are to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in their fight against leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkins disease and myeloma. Races will be governed by the US Sailing Racing Rules of Sailing 2009-2012, and the Special Sailing Instructions. |
CLASSES | Starts will be offered for the following classes: PHRF Spinnaker, Non Spinnaker, J-105, Leukemia (Cruising) and Classic (Full-Keel and Fin-Keel Divisions for yachts designed 1975 and earlier, excluding the J24). Cruising and Classic Classes will be on one course and all other classes on a second course. If sufficient yachts are registered, classes may be subdivided, one design classes may be added or classes may be combined and different courses designated for each subdivision as warranted to enhance the quality of racing. |
ENTRY: | The entry fee for this regatta is $100 per boat until June 15th; after June 15th the registration fee goes up to $125. Entries are due before Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 1800. Entry forms, Special Sailing Instructions, and Social Program information will be posted on Fishing Bay Yacht Club web site www.fbyc.net. Up until July 8, 2010. On-line entry is encouraged. |
REGISTRATION | Registration for entered boats will
be at Stingray
Point Marina, Deltaville, Virginia, Friday, July 9, 2010, from 1800 to

WARNING SIGNAL | The warning signal for the first start on July 10, 2010, will be at 1100. The warning signal for the first start on July 11, 2010, will be at 1000. |
