This is a sanctioned US SAILING JUDGES WORKSHOP and Test required for initial certification and re-certification as a US Sailing Judge. For those that are not currently certified Judges, some protest committee experience is recommended but not required. 0800 each day and last until approximately 1700. It will cover topics involved in
successful judging: rules and requirements for handling protests and requests
for redress, techniques involved in running good hearings, writing up protest
committee decisions, handling open hearings and
arbitration.
The instructors for this
work shop will be Joseph Krolak (SJ, IJ, JC- Sec.) and T. David Pyron (SJ,
Umpire, IU)

Cost: Cost of the workshop and
test is $80.00. This includes
continental breakfast, lunch, beverages, and handout materials, and test
processing. US SAILING
membership is not required to attend this workshop but the cost for a non-member
is $110.00

of The Racing Rules of Sailing, US SAILING Judges Manual, and the US SAILING
Appeals and ISAF Case Book.
