Cruisers, racers, power boaters, juniors and pool fanatics, bring your blankets and lawn chairs and get ready to bring in summer with a bang at Rosegill Farm. FBYC will host an awesome family picnic for all members and guests of the club. We plan to have a great picnic dinner, refreshments, music and lots of fun for juniors. This year we will feature Chris Stanley and Sky Run. This band plays a great mix of music that all should enjoy! So mark your calendars now to come out and enjoy this great event with family and friends at Rosegill Farm!

Fishing Bay To Urbanna Race

NOTICE The event information below, used in conjunction with the General Offshore Notice of Race, comprises the complete NOTICE OF RACE for the event.
DESCRIPTION On Saturday, May 26, a point-to-point race will be held from Fishing Bay Yacht Club to Urbanna Creek for PHRF SPINNAKER A, B & C, PHRF NON-SPIN sailboats holding valid PHRF of the Chesapeake Category 4P, 5p or 6p certificates, and FBYC CRUISING sailboats having handicap ratings issued by FBYC. For this race, PHRF NON-SPIN will be sailed allowing only one (1) headsail downwind.
REGISTRATION Each skipper should make reservations at least one week in advance by registering online at www.fbyc.net or by sending in the reservation form that will be published in The Log.
PROGRAM Dock, anchor, or raft in Urbanna Creek. See registration materials and Log announcement for social program details. There will be special awards for the boats that leave the “most memorable” impression as they cross the Finish Line Awards for the Urbanna Race will be presented during social activities following the race on Saturday, May 26, 2012.
Warning The warning signal for the race will be at 1000 hours.
STARTING AREA Between Piankatank R. G “5” (FBYC “A”) and the Piankatank R. Lt. QR 15 4M “6” (FBYC “B), or down the course.
COURSE The first mark of the course will be either (1) special buoy “Y” or (2) a government mark listed in Appendix A. See GSI 6.4(d) for course display format. After rounding the special buoy “Y” or the government mark, boats shall sail the remaining marks of either Course A or Course B set forth below as specified by the Race Committee on the course board for each class or subclass.

FINISH LINE The Committee Boat will be on station north of the mouth of Urbanna Creek. The finish line will be between an orange or yellow flag on Committee Boat and special buoy “X”.
The Race Committee may shorten the race at any mark of the course including near the center span of the Rappahannock River Bridge. This changes RRS 32.2
TIME LIMIT If one boat in a class or subclass finishes within six (6) hours of the actual start time of the race for that class or subclass, then the race will be valid for all boats in that class or subclass. The time limit for the remaining boats in a class or subclass shall be two (2) hours after the first boat in their class or subclass finishes.
PROTEST TIME Protests must be filed within one hour after the Race Committee docks at Rosegill.
CBYRA SANCTION This race day is sanctioned for CBYRA High Point awards.
