September 11-14: FOODIE CRUISE

Join your foodie-inclined friends on this two - night culinary adventure!  We leave FBYC on Saturday and sail north to Mill Creek, just south of the Wicomico River.  Motoring west into the creek there are five well protected anchorages (see Active Captain).  All have 7-10 foot depth MLW, and good holding.  From our individual anchorages we'll dinghy into the little cove north of Anchorage #5 (37 48 742 N and 076 22 288 W) to the docks of Jacey Vineyards.  We'll dine on tapas and sample Spanish varietal wines as a private party.  We'll share dinghy rides as necessary. Sleep at anchor Saturday night.   Sunday we depart Mill Creek and head south to the Rappahannock, then up the river to Carter's Creek, where cruisers can opt to take a slip at Tides Inn or anchor in the creek.  After cocktails at Tides we'll take a short walk to the Hope and Glory Inn for another private dinner in their charming, intimate dining room.  Breakfast at the Tides on Monday is delightful on their veranda.  Then a quick sprint down the river to home.
