Complete write up at https://www.fbyc.net/Juniors/OptiDevel   The Opti Development Team ("ODT") is for beginning and novice racers who want to learn more about racing techniques. The team has capacity for 20 sailors, ages 7 to 15, who will sail Optimists. The team will meet on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, for practice at the club or to attend area regattas. Practices are generally half-day. Sailors will travel with their coaches and parents to regattas, and parents are responsible for transporting the Optis and coach boats. Most regattas are in the southern bay. Because of the age differences of the team members, practices may be divided into two groups. The coaches will support the sailors during regattas.
