RACE COMMITTEE TRAINING DAY

This is a club organized event intended to increase familiarity of each of the race committee functions.  It will be on the water, from Mr. Roberts using a small fleet of offshore boats with multiple scripted starts to simulate actual race day starts with all that go right and wrong with those.

The goal is not to create new PROs...that's a USSailing classroom and apprentice activity and the club is fortunate to have many certified race officers.  This is focused on the enjoyment of being on the water, helping to administer a race - one design or offshore - and building confidence that your participation does not require expert level knowledge of race management or sailboat racing, handling and strategy.
