DESCRIPTION This junior regatta will consist of two days of racing with approximately three to five races per day. There will be three separate courses: 1) Laser Radials, Laser 4.7’s, and 420s; 2) Optimist Red/Blue/White and; 3) Optimist Green. Optimist will be divided into Red, Blue, White, and Green fleets, as defined by USODA. In addition to the separate course, the Opti Green fleet will also receive coaching and an instructional clinic. Online registration is available and encouraged at www.fbyc.net.
Fees include a tee-shirt, gift bag, participant lunches for both days and post-race picnic food (hotdogs, hamburgers, chips, etc.).
Club Optimist boats are available for use for participants that have completed Junior Week and would like to experience racing at FBYC. Please contact the Event Chair in advance to reserve a boat - FBYC club members will have first preference for reservations.
RULES: The organizing authority is Fishing Bay Yacht Club and US Sailing.
Races will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing except as changed by the sailing instructions.
This regatta is sanctioned for CBYRA High Point Awards in the Junior division for Optimists, Laser Radial, and 420 classes.
ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY: This event is open to any Junior Sailor with an Optimist, Laser, Laser Radial, Laser 4.7, or 420 who completes an entry form and who will not reach his/her 19th birthday before December 31, 2019.
Competitors are required to be members in good standing of US Sailing.
Completed entry forms shall be in the hands of the Race Committee by the end of the Skippers’ Meeting. A completed Entry Form or registration on the FBYC website (www.fbyc.net) is required for each competitor.

SAILING INSTRUCTIONS Sailing instructions will be available at check-in.
VENUE: The racing area(s) will be in the Fishing Bay area and the mouth of the Piankatank River.
PRIZES: Prizes will include separate awards for Optimist White, Blue and Red Fleets (as defined by USODA), as well as 420 and Laser/Laser Radial/Laser 4.7 assuming 5 or more participants. Participation awards will be presented to each Optimist Green fleet participant. The Green Fleet is open to any novice Optimist sailor.
