Urbanna Fireworks and Boat Parade Cruise

Dear Fellow Cruisers:

The 2019 Urbanna 4^th of July Fireworks cruise will begin with pre-cruise cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at FBYC on July 3^rd at 6:30 PM.

We will sail to Urbanna on July 4^th, staying at Urbanna Port Marina. 

My high-probability forecast: clear skies, gentle Bermuda-high S to SW summer breeze, and beautiful sail up protected waters of  Rappahannock.  You won’t want to miss it.

July 4th: Cocktails on Tender Mercies; dinner at new marina restaurant.

July 5^th: Urbanna Boat Parade and Fireworks. Jane will make breakfast reservations if you wish.  Rest of day— free to revisit favorite Urbanna spots, just relax or dinghy to sandy beach at creek’s entrance and swim with the locals. Before/during/after parade—"progressive nosh" among participants. (NO FOOD OR DRINKS ALLOWED ON PIER, SO WE'LL BOARD EACH OTHER'S BOATS—OR DINE IN TOWN.)

After Friday, participants may return Saturday or create your own longer cruise.  

PLEASE MAKE YOUR OWN JULY 4^th & JULY 5^th MARINA RESERVATIONS EARLY, AS SLIP RESERVATIONS ARE FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED.  TRANSIENT SLIPS MAY FILL UP.  You may also stay at Bridges Marina (currently 4 transient slips), the Town Dock, or at anchor in creek.  Assignments will be made later.  T-head reserved for possible 50-60 foot boat reservation, but may be available nearer event.

Kevin Anderson runs the marina.  Aniska Anderson answers phone—from 9:00 AM-2:00 PM Monday-Friday this time of year.  Restroom and shower facilities are brand new.  Slip fee is $1.75 per foot (group discount not available)—payment due at reservation.  CANCELLATIONS MUST BE MADE ONE-WEEK IN ADVANCE FOR FULL REFUND.  No last minute refunds on account of wind or weather.
