NOTICE The event information below, used in conjunction with the General One Design Notice of Race, comprises the complete NOTICE OF RACE for the event. Social distancing pre-cautions should be undertaken during the event. Masking as necessary and no congregating in groups.
DESCRIPTION This is the first of the five day Laser Regatta Series. As this is the first Laser event of the year, the Skippers' Meeting will involve additional discussion at the discretion of the Fleet Captains and PROs to get folks current and ready for the season. Practice starts may be held before starting any real races, and races may be shortened in either duration or number. Ability grouped fleets (A and B fleets) will be in effect during this race should the fleet captain elect this option.
REGISTRATION Advance registration is encouraged at www.fbyc.net, at the link on the event page under documents or directly on Regatta Network.
CLASSES Laser, Laser Radial. Any class of three like singlehanded one-design boats is also invited to race.
LATE REGISTRATION & CHECK IN At 1000 on the downstairs porch of the main clubhouse.
SKIPPERS' MEETING At the discretion of the Race Chair. If held, meeting will be at 1030.
WARNING The first warning signal will be at 1200 and several practice starts may be conducted before starting a race. Any start while flying the Lima flag will not count as a race, and boats should return to the starting area after 3 minutes of sailing upwind.
SOCIAL Due to COVID19 concerns there will be no social event.
AWARDS Shortly after the conclusion of racing awards will be presented by the Race Chair for each day's racing. Overall series awards will be presented after the final series day has concluded.
