NOTICE The event information below, used in conjunction with the General One Design Notice of Race, comprises the official NOTICE OF RACE for the event. Please check fbyc.net for updated schedule.
DESCRIPTION The regatta will be a three-boat against three-boat team race. The planned format is multiple round robins among all competing Teams. A knock-out series may be run. The format and number of races may be adjusted by the Organizing Authority due to weather and time considerations. Please review fbyc.net for most current logistics.
REGISTRATION All teams are to pre-register online at FBYC.net or between 9:00 and 9:30 am on July 3 at Fishing Bay Yacht Club.
BOATS All boats (either Front Runners or Flying Scots) will be provided by FBYC club members for use by competitors in the regatta. Sails will also be provided for each boat. Competitors must use the provided boats, equipment, sails and may not make any modifications. Teams will draw for boats at registration.
SCHEDULE
9:00 to 10:00 AM—Check in for all Teams, and final team placement
10 AM—Competitors meeting
11 AM—Warning signal for the first race
After racing—Debriefing and social
RACING The racing area will be in Fishing Bay as near to the Fishing Bay Yacht Club Pier as possible. In the event of a northerly breeze the course may be moved south ¾ mile.
SOCIAL FBYC will host a barbeque rib cook off during and after the racing. Separate Rib cook-off instructions will be made available.
SAFETY All competitors under the age of 18 shall wear a US Coast Guard- approved personal flotation device while on the water, other than for brief periods while adding or removing clothing. All spectator and support boats must have a working VHF radio and monitor a channel assigned by the race committee.
