Cruise to Boston

This is a long-distance Cruise to the major city in New England, scheduled for July 11th through August 15th, subject as always to weather conditions.  The outbound leg will involve one overnight trip from Deltaville to Cape May, NJ.  The remainder of the trip is planned without the need to make further overnight passages.  Our route North will take us through the New York harbor, up the Long Island Sound, through the Cape Cod Canal, and terminate at the Constitution Marina in Boston, where we’ll lay over for 2-3 days before returning.  Along the way we will stop at marinas, mooring fields, and anchorages.  Cruising boats should be equipped with jack lines and harnesses, EPIRPs or equivalent, and crew sufficient to sail through at least one night off shore.  AIS and radar are strongly recommended.  The fleet will stay in touch via VHF periodic check-ins.  Contact cruise leaders, Chris Lindbloom or Nancy Powell (804-615-4465 and 804-370-1284) for additional information.
