Offshore Spring Invitational
Saturday-Sunday, May 21-22, 2022

DESCRIPTION This two days of racinopen to everyone, FBYC club member and non-member boats, interested in racing their sailboat, developing their sailing skills and being part of a great sailing tradition on the Chesapeake Bay. Race Saturday and/or Sunday. Awards for each day of racing.

The plan for Cruising and Non-spinnaker class boats is a middle distance government marks courses on both days.

The plan for PHRF A and B/C is to race multiple windward leeward (buoy) course(s) on Saturday and a government mark course on Sunday.

In addition to our normal after racing socials, there will be a cookout Saturday for those wanting more substantial sustenance. Order tickets if you want to participate in the cook-out. Food, drinks, music and tall tales of sailing prowess will be served at the main clubhouse.  

INVITED CLASSES
PHRF SPINNAKER A, B & C (holding valid PHRF of the Chesapeake certificates)
PHRF NON-SPIN (holding valid PHRF of the Chesapeake certificates)
CRUISING Class (sailboats having a handicap rating assigned by FBYC or PHRF)

PHRF NON-SPIN will be sailed allowing only one (1) headsail downwind.

SCORING Daily awards are awarded based on the “Low-Point Scoring System”.Races run under this event will also count towards the overall Spring Series. Daily awards are awarded based on the “Low-Point Scoring System”. Results count for the FBYC Spring Series Scores.

REGISTRATION To be eligible for scoring, all participants must register prior to the start of the first race.  Event registration, information and notices can be found at the event website on Regatta Network. Tickets for the cookout should be purchased on the FBYC event page.
