Join us on a Carters Creek heritage cruise, in beautiful and historic Irvington, Virginia, 22 October 2022.
Carter’s Creek lies to Starboard, about a mile upstream of the Whitestone Bridge on the Rappahannock River.
We will dock at the Tides Inn Marina or anchor out in the first protected cove to Starboard, as you head further up Carters Creek (Across from Premier Sailing).
Dockage may include access to bicycles. Tide’s Inn contact information is given below. Please make your own reservation.
We will provide dinghy landing information as we get closer to the event.
Plan to dock or drop the hook in time to join the group on the Tides Inn Docks by 1130 to finalize plans for the day.
Lunch options include BYO, “The Local” (a popular sandwich shop 0.6 miles away) in “downtown” Irvington, and two or three other eateries, including Tide’s Inn.

We highly recommend both Historic Christ Church (allow 2 hours) & Steamboat Era Museums (about 1 hour). Last time we visited, admission was $5 per person for both attractions.
The cruise captain will provide shuttle cars to destinations of choice, and back to a restaurant (TBD) for dinner. Call/text 434-975-6347 as needed.
For Sunday morning breakfast, you may choose to take advantage of the magnificent view from the Tide’s Inn terrace, weather permitting, or the enclosed dining room with a commanding view of Carter’s Creek.
