Who Can Participate: Members & Non Members (Bring a Friend, kids, Grand Kids)
What to Bring: Must wear properly fitting PFD & closed toe shoes, bring hat, sunglasses, water, sunscreen
Boats: Training in Flying Scots, Other boats under 19 feet welcome to sail with us--Especially Melges
Training and Club Boat Options
Options in Club/Private Flying Scots :
--Check sails for new Club Boat Subscribers (required for independent use of Club Boats)
--Custom in boat lessons @ $25/person --(SOLD OUT)-- Skippers and crews may still sail their own or club boats
--Club boat subscribers can reserve a boat for the day sail
--Lasers: Mike Toms will offer intro lessons, Indicate Laser when you register, best to BYO boat
Social: Food/beer/wine/water/soft drinks (target start approximately3:30-4 PM)
Awards for on water game participants at social
Bring your own sandwich/snack/water for lunch--
Marshmallows , fire, some snacks and water/soft drinks on beach
Training Notes : On board FS coaching targeted at 8 students/4 coached boats: (ALL SLOTS FILLED--JULY 1 IS NEXT OPPORTUNITY)
-- We emphasize quality over quantity (2 students+ Coach)/boat, content customized for student request/skill level, 3 students per boat possible on request
-- Basic on water lessons for beginners/intermediates (ALL SLOTS FILLED)
-- Bring your own or use a club boat to sail independently with no coach--Melges and others welcome
--If time permits, we hope to do a Capsize/Recovery demonstration, near the Fishing Bay Docks
Enjoy a relaxed day on the water and ashore at the most beautiful club on the Chesapeake. Learn about our Adult Sailing School, Club Boats, sailing clinics, informal Friday evening fun sails and other club opportunities. This is an opportunity sail & meet other sailors/mentors.
Close out the day with new and old friends over superb food and beverage and an awards ceremony
Sailors may also bring their own one design (under 19 feet LOA) boat and participate. Sailors who are getting a “lesson” or check sail may still participate in the “Critter Viewing/Idetification Challenge”

11:30 Latest Participants in boats, Headed for Healy Creek Beach
1300-1400 Bondfire , beach party
Note: We plan to sail to a beach at mouth of Healy Creek--have BYO lunch ashore, roast some marshmallows, then sail back to club for the main social
