Meet at the club house on Friday, 9/6, for cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and cruise info.  If you can't do the whole cruise, please join us whenever/wherever you can.  Everyone must make their own reservations.  I've made one itinerary change.

9/7---Leave FBYC for Mobjack Bay for anchorage in East River near Williams Wharf between G"13" and G"15".  Cocktails on volunteer boat.  Dinner on your own.

 

9/8 &9/9---Cruise to Hampton Yacht Club.  I will arrange slips  I need name, boat name, length, beam, draft, electric needs, and phone.  Old Point Comfort Yacht Club wants to host us to a potluck dinner, still in the planning.  We will Uber there.  Tour Fort Monroe, lots of history with self guided tours and group tours.  Oozlefinch Brewery (0.7 mi) open daily with food trucks 5p-8p.  Farmers market at brewery on Sunday, 12-3.  Firehouse coffee shop (0.2) has great coffees and sandwiches.  Open 7A-4P.  The visitors center is full of information on Ft. Monroe (0.3 mi).  Deadrise restaurant at the marina has great seafood and drinks.

9/10---Cruise up the Elizabeth River to Tidewater Yacht Marina on Portsmouth side.  You can explore Old Town Portsmouth.  Ferry (2 blocks) to Norfolk Waterside.  Ferry is $2.00 one way.  Pay on ferry with exact change.  Visit Nauticus, USS Wisconsin battleship, restaurants, shopping, Elizabeth River Trail.  There is a nice seafood bar and grill at the marina that also serves libations.  Group dinner in the works.

Make reservations for Tidewater on Dockwa.com  $2.00/ft.  Electric 50 amp $15.00.  30 amp $8.00.  Marina #757-393-2525 or #757-393-7845.  tidewater@suntermarinas.com  The F dock is for transients and it is right at the entrance.

 

9/11--Cruise across to Lafayette River to the lovely and elegant Norfolk Yacht and Country Club.  Group cocktails and dinner in the works.  All inclusive membership card for club during stay.

9/12---Cruise to Kiptopeke anchorage.  More details coming on best place to drop anchor.  Great fishing.  Explore beach, ships and state park.  Beautiful sunsets.

9/13---Return to FBYC or ride the wind for more destinations.
