Fishing Bay Yacht Club is excited to offer our popular annual crew training sailing course. Whether you're new to sailing or have sailing experience, this course is perfect for anyone looking to enjoy a fun, challenging team sport that offers a lifetime of enjoyment. Sailing is a sport you can enjoy at any age, and racing takes it to the next level!

The course includes three classroom sessions in Richmond and an on-the-water practice session in Deltaville (just about 70 minutes east of Richmond) aboard racing sailboats. You'll learn from experienced FBYC racing skippers and crew, with backgrounds in local, national, and international racing. Plus, you'll get hands-on practice with FBYC racing boats.

Each participant will receive a course handbook that complements the classroom material and includes FBYC's 2025 racing schedule. We look forward to sailing with you!

Who: Adult beginners and intermediate sailors wanting to learn how to crew on race boats. Open to non-club members as well as members.

When: Classroom Sessions Tuesdays March 25, April 1 and April 8 6:30 – 9PM

Meet the skippers Friday April 11 6:30 – 9 (Richmond Restaurant TBD)

On the Water Hands on Training Saturday’s April 19 (plan on a full day)
