But, the seasaw of wind strength, it's too far up, it's too far down, have cause 3 days of abandoned races. Meanwhile, current Top Dogs Alinghi and Oracle rest and wait to see who will come out of the Repechage bracket for the semif-inals. Check the LVC web site for detailed info: www.louisvuittoncup.yahoo.com The races, whenever they may actually happen, are carried on OLN (Outdoor Life Network) on your TV dial, and the presentation is much improved over the early shows. ESPN will take up broadcasts when it gets down to the actual America's Cup Series.
Looking for the Rappahannock River Cup? It's at the Urbanna Creek Yacht Club for another year. The UCYC team of Leroi Lissenden (Voodoo Chile, Tripp 33), Mike Dale (Juggernaut, J/27), David Clark (Corryvreckan, J/105), and Alex Alvis (Chilcoot, Holby 30) successfully defended the Cup against teams from Yankee Point YC and Rappahannock River YC.
Dennis Conner, legendary leader of the Stars and Stripes AC Team, has turned to chickens, and the Kiwis are measuring their teams' blood chemistry, several times a day in some cases, by a new non-invasive technique called electrosonophoresis. MURPHY'S LAW: Finally, a holiday that makes no bones about it - the celebration of giving thanks is centered around eating! And, best of all, it is centered around eating a great big bird. To all you Turkeys out there, the Murphster says, "Cave canem!" Latin for "Beware the dog!" And, Happy Thanksgiving. Living to race, racing to live. /s/ Murphy the Racing Beagle
