AWARDS! This Saturday, January 31, CBYRA
Region 4 Dinner and High Point Awards Presentation - Hosted by
Hampton Yacht Club - Social Hour begins at 5:30pm, a buffet
dinner follows, and the awards will be presented immediately after dinner.
Awards to Region 4 racers for PHRF Classes, the Mobjack Class, the Hampton One
Design Class, Lasers, and Juniors will be presented. The event is open to

SPECIAL KEY WEST KUDOS TO FLEET WINNER
PHANTOM: Frank Silver, from Kill Devil Hills, North
Carolina, in his B-25 with local guru Ken Saylor, won his PHRF
Fleet at 2004 Key West Race Week. For detailed information and results for

Declare those WHISKER
POLES! PHRF of the Chesapeake reminds everyone that anyone
"...planning to race only in non-spinnaker races, must include
the maximum whisker pole (or spinnaker pole) dimension on
the renewal or application form." This, PHRF reminds everyone,
is NOT a new requirement.

Bird: Pat Patterson's Orion, is
at Bluewater Yachting Center. Plans are for her to do
the full 2004 Onion Patch Series - big time racing for a big time
beauty.
CBYRA Annual Race
Management Seminar: The 2004 CBYRA Race Management Seminar is
scheduled for Saturday, February 7, at Annapolis Yacht Club, 9:00
- 3:30. Cost of $10 includes a continental breakfast. Key note
speaker is Peter Reggio famous for his work with the NOOD regattas. There
will be concurrent sessions focusing on a variety of topics such as
Javascore, radio communications, the starting system, etc. No
pre-registration is required.
HOD National Championship goes North to
Oxford: The Hampton One Design fleet has announced the location
of their 2004 National Championship. The event will be held at Tred Avon
Yacht Club (Oxford, MD), August 27, 28, 29, 2004, in conjunction with TAYC's
annual Chesapeake Heritage Regatta. Point of Contact is Latane
Montague.
