The 2004 Screwpile
Lighthouse Challenge (July 18 - 20): The event
planning committee is well beyond planning and into the nitty-gritty organizing
stage. Racers will begin to receive entry forms and notices of race in
their home mailboxes any day now. If you like, you may get your
entry application and a copy of the NOR from the website www.screwpile.net Good idea to
act now, because lodging and dockage space are going like hotcakes!
Already a skippers', crew's, and racing team groupies' favorite event,
this year's Screwpile promises to be very special - the more
southern Bay racers, the better! Get on it now - entering only takes a
minute!
Boats Return Home: Friday was "Welcome
Home" day for a lot of the HYC slip holders. They had been "banished"
during the winter, while HYC installed an all new floating docks
complex.
When you pick up the
2004 Race Management Handbook this coming Saturday,
be aware that Glenn Giles is the man who pulls it together and
handles it's publication each year. Glenn is one of the Race Management
Workshop (March 27) presenters and his favorite afternoon beverage (along
with several other members of the workshop team) is Amber
Bock@.

MURPHY'S LAW: Spring has
sprung! The grass has
rizz. I wonder where
the racers is! They're in the yards to paint and
scrape, And get themselves in racing shape. But, soon
they'll come as with the sun, To sail the course, To beat
and run. So, have good faith, Me racing
hearties, We'll soon be at those Screwpile parties!
Living to race, racing to live. /s/
