Friday, August 30 - September 1, come race at the Stingray Point Regatta! Not usually a racer? Come join the cruising class and get in on the fun!

The 2024 Stingray Point Regatta will consist of a single Friday mid-distance race for all registered boats, followed by additional racing on Saturday and Sunday on two separate East and West courses. The East Course will be a Windward/Leeward buoy course for PHRF Spinnaker A, B, and C boats. A separate West Course will be a designated triangular course for PHRF CC-NS, CC-Spin, and provisionally handicapped cruising boats.

This past Saturday, August 17th, 18 sailors, members and non-members, gathered for the third FBYC Day Sailing and Training Day of 2024. The day kicked off at the Clubhouse, where sailors introduced themselves, shared their backgrounds, and discussed their goals for the day. It was a diverse group—some were seeking their first sailing experience, others aimed to build on skills learned in previous clinics or crewing opportunities, and several simply wanted to enjoy a day of with other sailing enthusiasts.

Experienced instructors paired up with sailors who requested in-boat coaching, and soon everyone headed to the Fishing Bay Dock, where the Flying Scots were ready and waiting. After a quick orientation and a review of basic sailing skills, the …

Calling all small boat and one-design sailors! Join us at FBYC on Saturday, August 17th, for a day of sailing followed by a social gathering with fellow sailors. Enjoy a leisurely day sailing on the Piankatank River or participate in a sailing clinic to sharpen your skills.

We will meet in the Clubhouse at 10:00 AM to review the day's plans before heading out on the water. For those looking to gain more experience or take their first step into sailing, register for in-boat coaching. We have a few spots remaining and will provide both the coach and the boat and get you out on the water.

Tropical Storm Debby - Preparations Underway

We are preparing the facility in the event of a strong Tropical Storm Debby should it make her way to Deltaville.  We are expecting a storm surge, much rain, elevated wind, and flooded roads.

We recommend anyone with a boat on-site to double-check their dock lines and security of dinghies to trailers or racks.
