Get ready to sail for an excellent cause! Once again FBYC has teamed up with the Middlesex County Volunteer Rescue Squad for the Second Annual Rescue Regatta. It’s 2 weeks away and we are calling all sailors and supporters to come out July 12th and 13th. 

As usual there will be  two nights of dinner + beer, wine, Dark n’ Stormies and our signature “Rescue Me” drinks and one great day of sailing on The Bay! 

There are two easy places to register for here and here! And we’ll all get together to support the heroes who serve at the Middlesex County Volunteer Rescue Squad.

What is the best way to get family and friends to learn your love of sailing?  Sign them up for FBYC Adult Sailing Class!  Next Session June 30. Customized for the participants skill level---even beginners!

Let's Go Sailing!

The Annual St. Mary's Governors Cup Race is OPEN for Registration.  FBYC is proudly serving a Race Committee for the Piankatank Start and we expect many participants--again---from our Cruising and Offshore Divisions.  The southern Start from Piankatank 5 is August 2 ending up at St. Mary's College for a whale of a party!

July 6^th:  Be part of the 150^th celebration of Reedville!  Meet at Reedville in Cockrell Creek for an evening of fellowship, food and fireworks!  Cocktails on one of our boats, then a FBYC dinner at the Reedville Market, https://reedvillemarket.com/, and end the evening enjoying fireworks from land or your boat.  Return home on the 7^th. Optional stop the night of the 5^th in Fleet’s Bay for a relaxing evening for those who want to.

Have you seen those videos of fisherman whipping their boats into a dock for prizes---well....Mathews County is bringing it!  Our Cruising Leadership has a great venue to join in the fun and watch!

The event takes place on Saturday June 22nd from 11 AM to 7:00 PM at Williams Wharf on the East River and it is a benefit for the Mathews Volunteer Fire Dept. The event includes bands and beer. There will be food trucks and other vendors too. Organizers will shuttle you from your boat to the event. Hail them on VHF channel 18. This is a ticketed event, but you may be able to watch from your own boat anchored a safe distance away.

• 0930 - Welcome and Late Registration (via Regatta Network only)
• 1000 - Skippers Meeting (charts of potential courses will be handed out!)
• 1100 - Warning signal for all classes
• 1700: "Clubhouse Bar & Grill" Opens  (Food will be served from 1730 - 1900)
• 1700 On-shore Happy Hour and gathering
• 1730-1900 …

Calling all fathers and grandfather sailors.  It's YOUR Father's Day weekend so grab your kids and grandkids to celebrate the way you prefer . . . on the water.  Hope you can join us.  Mothers are allowed.  Or, treat as a rare "free pass."

Our Junior Week and Junior Regatta needs your support.  FBYC offer's one of the most robust Youth Sailing Program's on the Chesapeake Bay.  Please lend your experience and support to mentor, teach and reinforce seamanship among the future sailors.  ALL types of help needed.
