onFALL BACK! EASTERN STANDARD TIME returns -
Sunday, October 30th. - Sleepy heads get an extra hour of ZZZZZZZs
before heading out for Frost Bite racing on Sunday.
FBYC Fall Series Standings as of

Rhumb Punch, John and Linda Edwards, won the
FBYC Annual J/29 Invitational. Case Whittemore's
Patriot took 2nd and Paul Andersen's
Titillation finished 3rd. The Edwards are from Solomons, MD,
and both Patriot and Titillation are southern Bay homies from
Fishing Bay. The fleet of 6 got in 10 races over the 3-day event. Winds
ranged from 12 to 21 knots. Twenty-one knots may be
conservative for the wind-o-meter reading on the third day. Other fleets
reported gusts into the 30 knot range. But, then too, those J/29s love a
blow! West Marine was a sponsor of the 2005 J/29 Invitational
Regatta.

MURPHY'S LAW: "A dirty
dog and no sailor" is a nautical expression describing a scamp or a
rascal. Your Racing Beagle takes exception with the compound
term. I contend that laying drunk and dirty under a beer
truck diminishes racing prowess in no way! Let's drop the "no sailor"
bit! /S/ Murphy the
Racing Beagle, the sailing spirit in us all.
