event chairman Jon Deutsch at (804) 305-1244, or check the FBYC website at
http://www.fbyc.net. Hurry! This will
be a happening of special note that you do not want to miss.

BAD HABIT Winner of DINK VAIL
CUP. The 2006 Dink Vail Regatta racers were first out
on Hampton Roads waters after the whipping-up delivered by Hurricane - Tropical
Storm - Tropical Depression Ernesto. Breezy winds
(20+) and choppy-lumpy waters made for an invigorating day of racing in the
vicinity of Craney Island and Middle Ground Light. Of the 20
entries, 16 finished the race; broken gear was the
main problem for the non-finishers. Bob
Archer and Chris Beahr's Pearson Flyer, Bad Habit, trounced
the PHRF B Fleet by the greatest margin (3:31 minutes corrected) and claimed the
Dink Vail Cup. RESULTS: PHRF B: 1.
Archer/Beahr, Bad Habit; 2. Neal
Garrett, Strega; 3.Andy Armstrong,
Virginia H. PHRF C: 1. Louie Lewis,
Incentive; 2.Dave Taylor, Mid Morning
Buzz. PHRF Non-Spin: 1.Rodney Paice,

Tunnicliffe, finished 4th in the Laser radial Class at The Good Luck
Beijing 2006 Quingdo International Regatta.
Psycho Killer, the new Esse 850
Pam Burdett has ordered, is in route. PK should arrive
sometime early next week. Pam hopes to have her up, rated, and race
ready for the CCV Fall Series.
Devon Sweeney, a familiar face around the
southern Bay in racing circles, will compete in the US SAILING Match Racing
Championships in early October in Fort Worth, Texas. This is the Prince of
Wales Cup, a quarterfinals for which HYC hosted in 2005.
Please be patient - CBYRA is working at a
major problem with listing some of the race results on the
website. A number of people are working at a solution. So,
hold your horses, hang in there, and in the meantime, check for results locally,
i.e. the club sponsoring the race, or, of course on Monday, your Southern
Bay Racing News You Can Use.
