What is with these guys?
"If Ernesto Bertarelli and Brad
Butterworth had much concern with public perception, it was not
apparent at the Rolex Farr 40 Worlds. After coming in second overall, the team
leaders no-showed at the awards presentation." From Scuttlebutt issue
2424. There must be no limit to their expanding hat
sizes.
There were 174 entries at CBYRA-Annapolis Race Week.

At the NYCC Dink Vail and Labor Day Regatta, a possible crisis
of great magnitude was smoothly averted by the host club staff. At the
11th hour, the number of attendees at the post-race awards dinner doubled
from 50 to 100. Everyone got "fed and watered' in fine fashion
and most were unaware of the excellent crisis management behind the
scenes.
MURPHY'S LAW: Lots of
multiple day events this past weekend - all requiring racing the morning
after a night or two of party-ing. First thing in the morning, a lot
of racers were in search of "hair of the dog". Made
Yrs Truly, the Racing Beagle, a little nervous - could have
been plucked absolutely bald. /S/ Murphy
the Racing Beagle, the sailing spirit in us all.
