FROSTBITE SERIES Wrap-Up: The last day of the
five consecutive Sundays of the Series turned out to be the most challenging of
all - foggy - rainy - foggy - light wind - and, foggy! An observer from
shore said that at one point he was not sure whether there were any boats on the
course or not! That's foggy! Eleven boats braved the fog
yesterday and completed the last race of the Series, which had been hampered by
crazy weather for two of the previous four Sundays. Here are the Series
award winners, based on 3 races actually completed: PHRF A (10 boats
entered) - 1. Sledd Shelhorse, Meridian
(1-1-1) 2.Bob Mosby, Cyrano (2-2-3); 3.Phil Briggs,
Feather (3-3-5). PHRF B (13 boats
entered): - 1. Chuck Monsees, Rockette (1-3-2);
2.Ben Cuker, Callinectes (4-4-1); 2.Rusty Burshell, Cool
Change (3-1-DNC/14). PHRF C (5 boats entered):
1.Bob Thomas, Surprise (2-1-DNC). PHRF
Non-Spin (7 boats entered): 1. Karl Petersen,
Valkyrie (1-RAF/5-1); 2.Bob Nunn, One o Five
(4-3-3); 3. Jay Wright, Glory Days (2-1-DNC/8).
Race Chairman - Brian Deibler; Official Scorer - Dick
Boykin.
