onOn the day prior to the Regatta, Harry Carpenter was invited by John Beery and our Flying Scot fleet to conduct a clinic on Flying Scots. The Flying Scot Fleet must be applauded for getting 25 boats on the line. Harry stayed over for the racing, and after a slow start (5th), he went on to get 5 First Places to win the Flying Scot Fleet for the regatta. David Lee, on Floozies Little Sister was the top FBYC boat with a 4th in the class.
In the Opti Green Fleet, which had 10 races over the 2 days, Ben Buhl, aged 8, received his well-earned first First Place trophy from Dick Cole, the Event Chair.
Results are available on-line.A special thanks goes to all the volunteers that made the regatta a success. Jay Buhl and his staff, Lori Moyer and Ric Bauer, Alta and Allen Bower, Sheila and Gordon Nelson, Kelly OToole, Sharon Bauer, Jere Dennison, Allan Heyward, Debbie Cycotte and her helpers on parking, the members who used their boats for committee work and the many other people that pitched in.
