More on Stan Honey, Director of Technology, America’s Cup Event Authority. Last week Murphy, the Racing Beagle, mentioned Stan Honey and his vision of and responsibility for all the electronic wonder of the America’s Cup. Among the tidbits that came to SBRNYCU in response was mention of the fact that he invented the yellow first down line for football presentations on TV and mobile devices. And, no surprise, he is a master yachtsman steeped in sailboat racing, including having been navigator on Pyewacket for Roy Disney. Readers will not have to dig very deep to find a plethora of information about this most interesting, respected and well liked man and his accomplishments on the water and in the ultra “technosphere”.
