American Schooner Association forming new chapter

American Schooner Association, Mid Atlantic Chapter
The American Schooner Association (ASA), home based at Mystic Seaport, Conn. announces the formation of regional chapters. The first ever chapter to be formed is the Mid Atlantic Chapter, which will serve the states of Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware and Southern NJ. The ASA is an organization established in 1972 which fosters, promotes and encourages interest in the preservation, traditions and enjoyment of schooners and traditionally rigged vessels. The ASA is a national organization with members all across the US.
A membership kickoff meeting for the ASA Mid Atlantic Chapter is scheduled for Wednesday, July 9th at 6pm. The meeting will take place in St. Michaels, Md. at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in the Steamboat Building.
Refreshments will be served and there will be a guest speaker. Directions To ASA Meeting At Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum From Bay Bridge Take Route 50 To Easton (30m) Exit onto Route 322, to the right. Go to Route 33 (2m), turn right to St. Michaels(10m). Go through St.Michaels to Museum entrance on right. At parking lot Steamboat Building is on extreme left.
