Art on Fishing Bay to showcase historic F.D.Crockett on June 3

On Friday evening, June 3, 6 9 pm, the Fishing Bay Yacht Club opens its doors again to Art on Fishing Bay, one of the premier events of the 2011 Southern Chesapeake Leukemia Cup Regatta series. Bring an hors doeuvre to share with your fellow art patrons and a small donation to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to benefit patients with blood cancers, and browse through displays by 21 local, regional, and nationally recognized artists and craftsmen. A special treat for patrons this year will be the F.D. Crockett on exhibit at the end of the Fishing Bay pier. Recently re-dedicated by the Deltaville Maritime Museum, the log-bottom buyboat was originally built in 1924 and fully restored after 7,000 hours of hard work by talented volunteers from the Deltaville community. The Crockett serves as a floating ambassador for the Museum and the Deltaville community at large.Proceeds generated by the show will benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Societys mission to support patients battling blood cancers.
