Sign up and attend the Inaugural Jere Dennison Legacy Regatta (previously called Legacy of Sail) on Saturday August 25, 2018.
We encourage all classes of boats to participate--we especially invite the Flying Scot, Typhoon fleet, Windmills, Mobjack, Lasers, San Juan 21--and any classic boat. The older the better. You sail it, we will score it. Open to members and non members of FBYC.
This is a one design event, open to all boats 25 feet or less waterline, and targeting skippers 60 years plus . Crew can be any age. Please review the Notice of Race on the FBYC website for details.
Any boat class with three or more participants will be scored as a Fleet.
Classic and other boats with less than 3 entrants will be grouped into a Classic Boat Fleet, scored using the Portsmouth Yardstick D-PN Handicap system.
All boat Fleets scored for Prizes will be awarded trophies for skippers 60 years plus. In addition, boat Fleet skippers who are 70 years plus and finish first in this age group will receive the Vintage Skipper award.
Note: Any Flying Scot participating in the AOD Regatta ( 8/ 11-12 / 2018 ) is invited to leave your boat at FBYC and return to sail in the Jere Dennison Legacy Regatta.
