The first cruise of the year took place with a shakedown to Mathews Yacht Club on May 1. We had 10 boats and 32 people from FBYC attend. We were treated to their opening day ceremonies, an open bar, fantastic meal and dancing under the stars. On Sunday morning we had an excellent breakfast out on the deck before heading home. A very special weekend trip by our cruise chair John Koedel.

The first Captains Choice cruise scheduled for May 15 currently has 8 boats participating and if weather will cooperate the trip will be to Onancock. Jane Cutler will host a potluck dinner on Friday night-let her know what you are bringing if you have not already done so, and a final decision will be made that evening for the destination on Saturday.

Rosegill signup is now available and hopefully we will have good participation. The format will be picnic style so bring a folding chair or blanket or whatever for an enjoyable evening outside. Also,we are attempting to add a little excitement with a race up the river for cruisers.

We will have breakfast in town on Sunday morning before heading over to the Corrotoman for a raft-up Sunday evening.

Looking forward into June, Jimmy Buffet night will be June 11 followed by Captain Stoakley's Captain's choice cruise and the Delmarva Cruise scheduled the following weekend-currently have 7 boats going the full trip and 2 joining up the bay.

If you haven't signed up for any of these events, please do so ASAP to facilitate planning. The more participation, the more fun we have!!
