Fourth of July Weekend Fun

There are an abundance of activities happening at FBYC this coming Fourth of July Weekend! Here is the rundown to keep you informed on all of the fun.
July 4th Long Distance Race & Cookout – Sunday, July 3rd – The Annual Long Distance Race and Fourth of July Cookout is coming up! The cookout is for everyone, not just racers, with refreshments, hamburgers, hot dogs, and more! You need to register in advance to attend, so please do so now here. Volunteers are needed and greatly appreciated, if you can help please sign up here Volunteer.
The Long Distance Race is a handicap race open to any One Design boat 24’ length and under at the waterlines (no Optis). Advanced registration is encouraged!
Adult Fun Sail and Training Day – Saturday, July 2nd – Fun sail and social event for both members and non-members! There will be training in Flying Scots, and other boats under 19 ft. The cost is $15/person for in boat instruction, other participants are no charge.
Cut Channel Race – Long Race Series – Saturday, July 2nd – This event will consist of one race for PHRF SPINNAKER A, B, C, NON-SPIN, CC & Limited Crew sailboats (holding valid PHRF of the Chesapeake PHRF certificates), CHESSS, and FBYC CRUISING (sailboats having handicap ratings issued by FBYC). PHRF NON-SPIN will be sailed allowing only one (1) headsail downwind. This race will count towards the Long Distance Series. Prior registration is mandatory for scoring.
July 4th Cruise – Friday, July 1st to Monday, July 4th – Fantastic fireworks, camaraderie, and cruising to Urbana for the weekend of the Fourth!
