FBYC Juniors' Prowess at the West River Junior Regatta
Wednesday July 17, 2002 12:25PM
onHighlights included Mark Buchanan placing third in the over twenty boat green fleet. Way to go Mark! Franny Kupersmith placed third while Eliza Strickland placed fourth in the competitive 10 boat byte fleet. Kathryn Clinard and Annie MacKinnon had an absolute blast. Quentin Jenkins got a taste of what being in the front of the pack is about when he rounded the weather mark 11th out of the fourty boat Opti red, white and blue fleet. Finally, Miles experienced why boats are what we call "holes in the water", into which we throw money", when he lost his tiller and extension to dark waters of West River.
Results are posted at the West River YC Web site
I'd also like to put out a special thank you for the hospitality of Beecie Kupersmith, and for the "kid-hauling" of Strother Scott and Ruthanna Jenkins.
