First Practice day in Newport

0800 on Tuesday, NYYC staff hoist colors and erect 24 participating club burgees around moored and tuned Sonar Fleet for initial practice day.
The team will have a workout today and their weigh-in this morning followed by official practice races in the afternoon.
Yesterday the team spent some time practicing on a J22. The wind was light in the morning, but filled in the afternoon with a 10-14k sea breeze. The team had to alter their crew positions for that boat and after 20-30 tacks and gybes were feeling pretty comfortable in the J22.
