Hi-performance Opti Clinic - July 22-23

On July 22 and 23, 2005, Fishing Bay Yacht Club (FBYC) is hosting a group practice (July 22) and an International Hi-performance Opti Clinic (July 23), providing Opti sailors with the opportunity to sharpen their skills before racing at the 2005 Opti Nationals to be held at Norfolk, VA. We have some of the best top optimist sailors coming from Ecuador (3rd place at the 2004 Opti Worlds Team Racing Championship) for the practice and clinic.
The clinic will be directed by FBYC Coach Juan Romero in conjunction with other CBYRA coaches who wish to participate. Juan is a well known South American national coach, who has coached at the best yacht clubs and Associations along the US east coast. He has also coached the Ecuadorian opti team at numerous international Championships, such as Worlds and South Americans in past years. Dont miss this great opportunity of been coached by one of the top international coaches around!
It will reinforce your strategy & tactics concepts, work on your boat handling and refresh your knowledge about the racing rules of sailing.
