onAttention all members!
Join us Saturday, July 4th for the 4th of July cookout and race hosted by Ed and Diane O'Connor. This year we are featuring Ed and Diane's Famous Dogs and Burgers, Cheeky Monkey Mac n' Cheese, Fishing Bay Slaw, and Jackson Creek Beans! Everything is homemade by our own FBYC members! This is going to be a fun, family oriented event and is open to everyone. No family will pay more than $30
The cookout is preceded by the annual one-design long distance race. This race is open to any one design boat less than 24' at the waterline and takes place around Stove Point. Reference the NOR for exact course description and warning times.
We plan to start the cookout around 3 pm which should give the racing fleet enough time to finish their course and get back to the doc. Pack your blankets and lawn chairs. Bring your bathing suit and spend time in the pool. Once the sun goes down stick around and watch the Matthews fireworks from the club house or dock.
Individual adult member tickets are $10, kids are $5, and non-member adults are $15. Families are no more than $30. This includes everything.
The full menu is:
- Hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs with kraut, hot dogs w/o kraut and all the fixins
- Mac and Cheese, cole slaw, beans
- Ice cream bar
- Beer, wine, soda, water
Have a question about the cookout? Contact Ed O'Connor at 804-338-1142 or email him at ej.oconnor@verizon.net.
