Juniors Still Racing!

FBYC Juniors continue to show up everywhere! Pictured above (and waiting for the wind) is Laser Race Team member Luke Hayes, who in September clinched Second Place in the Portsmouth Division in the year long series-also sailed against adults-at Lake Townsend Yacht Club, in Greensboro, North Carolina. Luke and fellow Laser Race Team member Nina Willms also mixed it up with the adults at the September and November Laser Regattas at home at FBYC. Team members Ralph Levy, Nathaniel Llewelyn and Graeme Alderman also completed their Fall series in 420s in High School racing in October.

Ned and Anne-Kinsey are two of our hot young juniors, and their parents teach Opti-Kids. Of course they are natural sailors! You will be impressed.
We still have one 2014 event left. Over Thanksgiving Boyd and Reese Bragg and Benton Amthor will race (and fly our colors!) at the USODA Opti Mid-Winters in New Orleans. Look for a report in the coming weeks.
Finally-congrats to all those who received awards at the Commodore’s Ball! Look for an article in the December Log about all the recipients.
