Kyle Swenson and Cori Radtke Give em Heck at Hyannis

The Hyannis Yacht Club's 65th Annual Regatta for One-Design Classes and PHRF classes was held in the waters of Nantucket Sound and Lewis Bay from July 27-29, 2007. This was the premier regatta on Cape Cod drawing boats from as far west as Chicago, as far east as Annapolis, and as far north as Canada. Two of our Junior sailors, Kyle Swenson and Cori Radtke competed in the event under the tutelage of their coach, Luis Dingo Canuto. Kyle finished a most respectable 19th place out of 51 Laser Radial sailors. Cori was only able to compete during the first day of competition as she had to leave early for the Leiter Cup competition in Marblehead.
Kyles father Steve also raced in the Laser Radial class and finished in 26th place behind Kyle. James Jacob, Alex and Erin Jacobs father, competed in the Full Laser class, finishing 5th in a field of 31 sailors! Junior-Parents better be looking over their transoms for their kids in the next regatta!
