Laser Summer Regatta Results

This Sunday’s Laser Summer Regatta was well attended and everybody seemed to enjoy themselves. The conditions challenged 10 full rigs, and one radial with very shifty wind that got lighter as the day went on. All this kept the RC busy dealing with wind readings between 45 degrees and 125 degrees.
All of the races were very competitive, with numerous position and lead changes, as well as photo finishes. This close racing carried through to the end, as the overall standings for positions 2-5 were not decided until the last 100 yards of the last leg of the last race. The top 5 finishes after 5 races were:
- Austin Powers (10 points)
- Brad Squires (13 points)
- Alain Vincey (18 points)
- Mike Toms (19 points)
- Eric Roos (20 points)
Matt Lambert and the Front Runner crew did a great job getting in five races in challenging conditions.
And Brad Squires, in addition to sailing very well, set a very high bar for a social - people were collecting recipes for two of his dishes.
