Leukemia Cup Kickoff Event in May Features Tom & Mel Neale

onTom and Mel Neale have lived and cruised aboard since 1979, averaging 3,000 to 5,000 miles per year, including 19 winters in the Bahamas. They raised and home schooled two daughters aboard. Tom has owned over 25 boats since the early 1950s, from 8 to 53 feet long. Mel has also boated and cruised since the early 1950s.
Tom and Mel write the Tom Neales Cruising for You section for BoatUS @ www.boatus.com. Tom is Technical Editor and writes the Sea Savvy column for Soundings and is Editor at Large for Passage Maker Magazine. For many years he was Editor at Large and columnist for Cruising World Magazine for which he wrote the monthly column "On Watch.Tom is author of two books: All in the Same Boat, and Chesapeake Bay Cruising Guide, Volume 1 Upper Bay, and does extensive public speaking, throughout the U.S and in Canada. He will bring copies for purchase of "All in the Same Boat" published by McGraw Hill and his two-set DVD "Cruising the East Coast with Tom Neale done in conjunction with BoatUS.
This event is open to the public on Thursday, May 19, 6:30 - 9 PM, at the SunTrust Building at 919 E. Main Street, 24th Floor, in downtown Richmond. Free parking in the SunTrust parking garage is available. Admission is $25 per person and includes wine, beer, and heavy hors doeuvres. All proceeds will benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
