Leukemia Regatta again wins National Award

Our Leukemia Cup Regatta again is one of the Top Six Regattas in the Nation. We are getting close to being the top fundraiser. This year's top Fundraiser was San Diego Yacht Club with $236,000. That is only $30,000 less than what we raised, hard to believe we are in the same league with one of the most well known yacht clubs in the world. You should be proud of your contributions, FBYC has truly made a name for itself within the Leukemia Regattas around the country.

I was honored to be asked to speak at the conference as to the success of our regatta. They were all curious as to how a small yacht club in a very small town could be so successful. By the end of my presentation they all knew our success was do to the dedication of my great committee and the continued support and generosity of FBYC. I cannot thank you enough for this support. FBYC has made a great impact in working toward the LLS ultimate goal, to cure all blood related cancers. The survivors thank you for giving them the opportunity to be here today. The researchers thank you for giving them the opportunity to work on vital research that hopefully will cure all blood cancers.

I ended my presentation by saying "TO LOOK OUT INTO THE AUDIENCE AND KNOW SOME OF YOU ARE HERE BECAUSE OF THE WORK WE DO IS REASON ENOUGH TO WORK HARDER." I know FBYC will be willing to do just that. Thank you again.
